Sakuya sets out to stop the yōkai, and is joined by a number of other characters, including the shrine maiden Reimu Hakurei, the youkai Remilia Scarlet, and the witch Marisa Kirisame. She quickly becomes involved in the festival, and soon discovers that the yōkai are planning to take over the human world. One day, a young human girl named Sakuya Izayoi arrives in Gensokyo from the outside world.
The events of the game take place during the annual Flower Viewing Festival, during which the yōkai go out to enjoy the flowers and the humans hold a flower viewing party. The story of Phantasmagoria of Flower View takes place in the fictional land of Gensokyo, which is populated by humans, yōkai, and other supernatural beings. The game was released on August 15, 2005, in Japan, and on February 15, 2007, in North America. It is the tenth official installment of the Touhou Project, and the first installment in the Flower Viewing arc. Phantasmagoria of Flower View, also known as Touhou 10, is a shoot 'em up video game developed by Team Shanghai Alice and published by ZUN Soft.
